Happy Hour: Bojack Horseman - The Greatest Animation of All Time For Adults

Well everyone, autumn is coming. As I'm typing this, I'm eating a honeycrisp apple and drinking some pumpkin spice chai. I'm looking back on the summer passed, and that leads me to my binge watching on Netflix and Crunchyroll. A great ritual I made for myself while I bake in my kitchen is to have something on a laptop running.

One of the shows I have binge watched, all current seasons available, was Bojack Horseman. Like a lot of people, I was ultimately floored by what I was watching. To tell it short, I was watching a modern masterpiece. I absolutely loved this show, and now I will talk about it.

Mild spoilers. Also some heavy content might be posted. This is an adult show, after all.

Soap Box: The Worst Cartoon I've Ever Seen

You know folks? I love animation, truly. I really do. But it's really like anything out there. For every gem, there is a turd. For every thing I love immensely or consider top tier (Daria, Gravity Falls, Freakazoid), there's the lower end. Each of which I would mention here soon enough.

Today, I give you the worst show I have seen. Start to finish. Lucky that, since it only had a pilot and was dumped into the abyss.

I'm going to rip this into shreds and people are welcome to join me. I just have one question for you though.

Happy Hour: My Hero Academia

Now, I consider myself a relatively casual anime lover. I used to be REAAAAAAAAAAAALLLY into it as a tike, but as I grew older...I admit that I kind of left the scene as nothing necessarily grabbed my interest.

In recent years, I ran into a few and kinda, well, got back into it. It actually boiled down to three animes that kinda rekindled my opinion of what anime could do. Each of which I plan on talking about.

For today, I'll talk about one that was the most recent, but really surprised me. I'm on episode nine of the dub, so I was able to get a rather good grip on an opinion.

Soap Box: Powerpuff Girls 2016

You know, I did sit on launching this blog for a while. I was going to make a post about one of my favorite animated films...but I just needed that push or edge to do that.

I needed something to really, REALLY, talk about extensively. Which was why I made this blog in the first place. Plurk isn't a good place to get up on your pedestal and go on thoroughly with points of interest. Not always.

So, without further ado, something I just really needed to talk about.

Something I really wanted to tear my teeth into.

And it's not made from sugar, spice, and everything nice.
